OUR STORY
established 2021.
“2021 was the year we flung open the doors to Visionary Dance Studio and what a journey it has been ever since.”
Founded by Stacey Anderson and Darcy Goodall, Visionary began as a small but passionate dream, running out of a hired space with a handful of dedicated dancers and a big vision for what dance could be in Ōtautahi.
In those early days, everything was built from the ground up. Classes were small, the energy was electric, and every student who walked through the door became part of something special. Before long, our dancers were stepping out on stage, proudly representing Visionary Dance Studio and showcasing not just their talent, but their heart, determination, and love for dance.
As the studio grew, so did our whānau. What started as a small group quickly expanded into a thriving community. We built an incredible teaching team who share the same passion, values, and commitment to nurturing every dancer, not just as performers, but as people. With each new face, each new class, and each new achievement, Visionary continued to evolve.
Today, we are proud to be home to hundreds of students. The studio is buzzing with energy, creativity, and connection every single day. But no matter how much we’ve grown, one thing has never changed, the sense of community, support, and belonging that defined us in 2021 remains at the core of everything we do.
We are still just as passionate about dance. Just as committed to quality education. Just as excited to see every student walk through the door and discover what they’re capable of.
We’re stoked to have brought Visionary Dance Studio to Ōtautahi, and we’re absolutely over the moon about what we have to offer. Our love for dance and education knows no bounds, and we can’t wait to keep growing, evolving, and sharing this journey with all of you.
