DARCY GOODALL
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, Darcy discovered his love for dance and performance early in life. At the age of 12, he began extensive training in a variety of dance styles, gymnastics, and acting. In 2017, he moved to Melbourne, Australia, where he was awarded a second-year scholarship at the Ministry of Dance. During his time in Melbourne, Darcy collaborated with leading Australian choreographers in the entertainment industry, contributing to projects such as Dancing with the Stars advertising, Tones and I, The Channel 9 Footy Show, Hairspray, Melbourne Cup, J Williams, Women’s Cricket World Cup, Australian Open & Children's stunt shows. Darcy also performed internationally with Step One Dance Company aboard the Holland America Cruise Line. Following his return to New Zealand due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he redirected his focus toward dance education, choreography, adjudication, and talent management. He has choreographed for esteemed organisations such as Whitebait Media, TVNZ, Epic Entertainment, High School Productions, and StageAntics, and serves as the resident choreographer for pop artist Prins. Embracing his newfound passion for education and choreography, Darcy travels throughout New Zealand to adjudicate and choreograph for various festivals and competitions, collaborating with creative artists and educators from around the world. His proudest achievement is co-founding Visionary Dance Studio with Stacey Anderson in 2021. Since its inception, Visionary has nurtured and trained over 300 students, many of whom are now pursuing further education in full-time institutions with dreams of becoming professional performing artists.
Stacey was raised in Melbourne, Australia, where she trained extensively in artistic gymnastics from a young age. At 10, she returned to Christchurch to continue her training at the Christchurch School of Gymnastics, where her dedication quickly set her apart. Throughout her gymnastics career, Stacey achieved remarkable success at both national and international levels, earning titles such as Victorian Champion, Brisbane Champion, and New Zealand National Champion. In her teenage years, Stacey discovered a passion for dance that would shape the next chapter of her career. At 18, she moved back to Melbourne to pursue this new path, completing her diploma in dance at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance. During her time in Australia, she gained valuable industry experience, performing in a variety of stage and televised productions, including appearances on Molly Television, DCI performances, and shows at Crown Casino. After returning to New Zealand, Stacey combined her performance experience with her love of teaching, successfully opening Visionary dance studio. Alongside running the studio, she has continued to choreograph and perform, working with groups such as Take the Mic and creating choreography for The Entertainment Company. She is currently performing with Kiwi music artist “Prins,” further expanding her presence in the industry. While Stacey’s achievements as a performer are extensive, her true passion lies in teaching. For the past eight years, she has dedicated herself to nurturing and developing young dancers, providing training for students of all levels, from foundational beginners to elite performers. Her commitment, experience, and passion continue to inspire the next generation of dancers.
