This exciting programme offers aspiring dance teachers the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience within a supportive and inspiring environment. Participants work alongside Alex Paton (Programme Coordinator) and other members of our experienced faculty, assisting in classes and developing the practical teaching skills and confidence needed to thrive in a dance education role.
The programme is split into two streams: Level 1 for student teachers aged 12+ and Level 2 for student teachers aged 15+. Each level is designed to suit different stages of development, allowing participants to grow at an appropriate pace while building responsibility and confidence over time.
Student teachers also take part in mentor sessions, where they learn key teaching strategies, class management techniques, and effective communication skills. Through guided support, observation, and hands-on experience, they gain valuable insight into how to plan and deliver engaging dance classes as well as build leadership skills and gain a glimpse in what working as a dance educator can look like.
Assist 1-2 Preschool, Mini, Generation V OR Development classes per week
Attend 2 Mentor Sessions during the year with programme coordinator, Alex Paton on a range of teaching skills and strategies.
Support Teachers at Visionary Events, Holiday Programmes, End of Term Break Ups & Junior School Shows.
LEVEL 1 (12YRS+)
LEVEL 2 (15YRS+)
Student Teach 1-2 Preschool, Mini, Generation V, Development OR Junior classes per week
Attend 4 Mentor Sessions during the year with programme coordinator, Alex Paton on a range of teaching skills, strategies, lesson planning & behaviour management skills.
Receive 4 Feedback reports, 1 per term.
Run your own session during a Holiday Programme.
Receive 1 genre’s tuition free per term.
Support Teachers at Visionary Events, End of Term Break Ups & Junior School Shows.
